"Dvandva" as it is known is very significant. The importance of light cannot be grasped without the help of darkness.vidyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09857996467058335472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334154137369618685.post-63826450302116032002010-08-06T20:31:22.961+05:302010-08-06T20:31:22.961+05:30whos the professor?whos the professor?Harisankarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02901449893682131812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334154137369618685.post-13001393095534140892009-09-06T12:38:09.271+05:302009-09-06T12:38:09.271+05:30Actually, whatever was discussed under the topic &...Actually, whatever was discussed under the topic 'God and his Exitence', was taught /discussed as a part of curriculum in one of the recent ISCKON's seven-day course titled 'Science of Self-realization' under the chapter 'Does Got Exist?'. I don't know the origin of this.

However, my opinion is that believers need not take the pain of proving the existence of God to the non-believers. It is basically a preacher's job(Preacher is supposed to be a perfect Bhakti Yogi.) Half-boiled persons (majority of us are - who has one leg here in Laugeeka world and the other in Aanmeega world) should not attempt to answer these questions; otherwise, there are chances that he will make the non-believer stronger in his belief OR a believer may turn into a non-believer.

Let every individual find out of his / her own efforts, because today's believer may become a non-believer OR vice-versa. It is also true that a convert is always aggressive about his newly-acquired belief.

If belief of God is unconditional, it is real Bhakti.aoldevahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14128311958627621485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334154137369618685.post-32885456955242847952009-09-04T21:28:46.465+05:302009-09-04T21:28:46.465+05:30I have read this before and am ambivalent toward t...I have read this before and am ambivalent toward the point raised. It looks like somebody from the "Creationism" background wrote this and it is highly unlikely that the student was Mr. Kalam.

My ambivalence stems from the fact that I consider Science and Faith occupy mutually exclusive territories. I don't mean that a religious person cannot have a scientific bent. What I mean is that do not use faith to explain a scientific fact and vice versa. Till the 14th century everybody believed that the Sun went around the earth.

Consider Einsten. Despite being a great scientist, he believed in a higher form. But that did not stop him from doing his science research.

Many claim that eveolution is bunk because the Bible says that God created the world in 6 days. Maybe..but it could also be true that what we consider a day is not the same in God's calendar.

My point is that it is possible to be a person of faith and yet accept scientific theories like eveolution.

Thanks for posting this.facelessdesinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-334154137369618685.post-4409268519772405462009-09-03T22:26:44.114+05:302009-09-03T22:26:44.114+05:30Excellent mama, I enjoyed it very much.Excellent mama, I enjoyed it very much.Srinivasnoreply@blogger.com
