I think some structural weakness exist in Indian Agriculture. Lack of initiative from us to put importance of vegetable and horticultural commodities in agriculture, has made farmers to shift towards food grains or Sugar cane which is guaranteed by Minimum Support Price (MSP) or Statutory Minimum Price (SMP).
