It all drives to motivation. Why are you doing what you

are doing right now? To avoid loss? To achieve gain?

Wrong reason both times. Life is not about win-and-lose.

Life is about being or not being, expressing or not

expressing, who you are.

Don't do things for personal benefit. And don't do things

to avoid personal damage. Do things to feel personal

authenticity. Then your life will make sense, no matter

what is going on around you.

to fear, yet do not abandon caution.

It is a balancing act. Caution is what causes you to look

both ways before crossing the street. Fear is what keeps

you frozen on the curb forever. You know the difference.

You can feel it.

If you're "stuck" right now, you're probably into fear.

Get out of there. You've already looked both ways. Now

cross the street, for heaven sake. The cars have long

since gone. The coast is clear. Your only obstacle now is

your own mind.

Films Division Documentary on Music of India

Youtube keeps throwing up lovely surprises so often. Here is a an old documentary on the Music of India made in 1966. Some of the highlight are:

1. S Rajam with V Sethuramiah & Madras A Kannan singing Theritheeyakarada in Gowlipantu.

2. MLV singing Harismarane mado with Tiruvellore Subramaniam, RS Krishnamurthy Rao (?) and an unidentified Ghatam artiste.

3. A very very short clip of Ramnad Krishnan singing Parimala rangapate in Kambhoji with VL Vedagiri (?) and Coimbatore Ramaswamy Pillai (?)

4. A dance clip for Taye yashoda by Nirmala Ramachandran.

Some nice Hindustani clips showing Manik Verma singing malkauns and another, a young Pandit Jasraj singing Mia ki Malhar.

Unfortunately I am not able to identify all the artistes.
