I am not sure if it's impossible. It seems to be isomorphous to the Moebius Strip, which can be easily constructed. It's uniqueness is that it has only one side!

What is moebius?

Moebius strip is a structure that has only one side, but seems to have two. Moebius is the person who first found it, I believe. Please check the wiki for "Moebius Strip" for more information. M C Escher has a painting that illustrates the brilliance of Moebius strip. Just google "Moebius ring with Ants" and you'd get his work.
