Sunset at North Pole

This excellent photo received from my friend Mr. B. Ramakrishna from Kuala lumpur. Many of the exciting photos in this blog are his contribution.
It is so beautiful.
Sunset at the North Pole Photographed during the week of May 11, 2009
This is the sunset at the North Pole with the moon at its closest point last week.

A scene you will probably never get to see in person, so take a moment and enjoy God at work at the North Pole. And, you also see the sun below the moon .

An amazing photo and not one easily duplicated.
I enjoyed it and so I post here for you also to enjoy

The Sunset at Northpola Photo in your blog is the work of Ingel Nielsen. Although the image has been circulating as a "photograph" of "sunset at the North Pole," it is a digital creation. It is a work entitled 'Hideway" produced by a 22-year-old German astrophysics student named Inga Nielsen using Terragen TM scenery rendering software. Those who want to see similar digital art of Inga Nielsen can follow this link: http://www.8ung.at/gtn/Gallery/other/index00.htm

Just as the photograph, the caption is also a hoax. Sun never sets in the North pole. For six months, it goes around the horizon, ever slowly moving up for 3 months and then down for 3 months and then goes below the horizon, leaving it dark for 6 months!

Bairavi, It is NOT A HOAX. It is a work of art by Nielsen and his website is also given. He has done quite a marvelous work of art with computer. They are being circulated wrongly as photographs, may be without his knowledge.
