Carnatic Music Raagas - Balahamsa
This is a janya raga derived from the 28th mela Harikamboji. The notes figuring in this raga are Sa^ Chatusruti Ri^ Antara Ga^ Sudha Ma^ Pa^ Chatusruti Dha and Kaishiki Ni. This is an audava vakra sampoorna raga. An upanga raga with Ga and Ni varjya in the arohana. Rishabha is the jiva svara whereas the raga has sancharas in tristhayi. It is a minor raga with limited scope for alapana^ m;gr;mgs-pmrs; comes as visesha sanchara.
