    The marriage of Indira Gandhi

The real marriage of Indira Gandhi took place in London Mosque after Feroz Khan and Indira met her ailing mother at Geneva- suffering from last stages of TB, and in spite of her opposition to the marriage. Indira was converted to Islam and adopted the name Maimunnah Begum and returned to India after the Nikkah. Mahatma Gandhi was annoyed and talked to Nehru in Allahabad Jail and then met the couple at Delhi disappointed at the bleak future for the Muslim couple. Then he suggested that he would adopt Feroz as his son and he could use his surname and Indira too could become Indira Gandhi. The photograph shown is the formality of Hindu marriage enacted for the public, at Allahabad, with no Senior members present except aunt Vijayalakshmi Pandit having had a similar episode earler but thwarted by the elders by sending her abroad. Feroz Gandhi's father was Nawab Khan, originally from Junagadh in Gujarat, married to Parsi from Bharuch in Gujarat, converted to Muslim Ghandy, a supplier of groceries and liquor to Anandbhavan, the errand often carried out by his son Feroz, getting close to the family- with Nehru in Jail and Kamla in Geneva.

Sir, I thought all along, Feroz was Feroz Ghandy who was a parsi and Gandhiji gave his surname to get the marriage going for Indira. Correct me, if this was wrong.

Dear Sir Sri Vaithinathan Hariharan The saying on Thiruvannamalai is absolutely right and I have heard from many that Thiruvannamalai is the Geographical Centre of the Planet earth. The place is full of Saints and Siddhars and one of my friends used say that when you are performing the GIRIVALAM you are expected to walk with much speed and you are expected to walk with swinging arms as you may hurt the unseen Saints and Siddhars. Because of your esteemed self and Shri Bhaskaran I am enabled to watch and listen to many files of Swamy Mooji. Thank You, Thank You. Extending a helping hand to a seeker is touching. I want to share the following with your esteemed self and Shri Bhaskaran, which I enjoyed when I was browsing for the concept “I am”. UNBORN When you dwell in destiny “I am”, you realize that it is not your death, but the disappearance of “I amness”. This realization can only come to someone who has transcended the “I am” and realized his true identity as the Absolute or the “Parabrahman” The “I am” that had appeared on him (which is mistakenly believed as birth) has now disappeared (which is mistakenly believed as death), that is all. He has nothing to do with it, as he never was the “I am”. He comes to the conclusion that, he is unborn, he was unborn and shall remain unborn! I am not this single cell conceived with the “I am” dormant in it. I am not this eight cell embryo with the “I am” dormant in it. I am not this fetus with the “I am” dormant in it. I am not this new born baby with the “I am” dormant in it. I am not this few month old infant with the “I am” dormant in it. I am not this one year old child oblivious of the “I am”. I am not this three year old child in which the “I am” arose. I am not this eight year old boy who was taught he was “so-and-so” and now believed “I am so-and-so”. I am not this young man in his twenties who believed he had a career to pursue. I am not this “mouse” trapped in the illusion of body, mind and world. I am not this man in his thirties who believed he was on his way to success. I am not this man who believed he had achievements to his credit. I am not this man in his forties who firmly believed he was the doer. I am not this man in his fifties who began to doubt what he believed. I am not this man who was blessed by the teachings of these great masters. I am not this man who began to investigate his own identity. I am not this man who accepted and studied his Guru’s teachings. I am not this man who reflected and meditated on the “I am”. I am not this man who tried to transcend the “I am” and say good-bye to it. I am not this man who died one day. I am not this body which was cremated. I AM UNBORN Like a hole in the paper, in it yet not made up of it! Like a hole in the paper is both in the paper and yet not of paper, so is the supreme state in the very centre of consciousness, yet beyond consciousness. If I am found impudent please forgive me With warm regards ravi

Dear Sir Sri Vaithinathan Hariharan Please prmit me to make the following correction in my commnets of Thiruvannamali. I have typed erroneously that "and one of my friends used say that when you are performing the GIRIVALAM you are expected to walk with much speed and you are expected to walk with swinging arms as you may hurt the unseen Saints and Siddhars" and in fact it should be as follows "and one of my friends used to say that when you are performing the GIRIVALAM you are NOT expected to walk with much speed and you are NOT expected to walk with swinging arms as you may hurt the unseen Saints and Siddhars" Thank You, Sir With warm regards

    Believe it or not

Some time back under this same title, I posted some outstanding paintings which appear as though they are photograhs. After seeing those paintings, if we are under the impression only foreigners can do such outstanding art works, here are some to prove that we Indians can also do. The artist's name is Elayaraja

Sir My posting is done in a lighter vain. Why Tamil TVs for that matter none of the media today may be Tv channel or News Papers gives unbiased news. We all know it is all paid up news and everyone look at news in commercial angle. Hence expecting unbiased News is a dream in a current scenario

sir even some newspapers are biased. perhaps you can do like this : if you want to know about 2G spectrum watch Jaya tv news. you will get full coverage of it. and watch sun news(headlines) in case if jayalalitha receives any charge sheet or judgement against her from the court. in this way you can know the truth and come to conclusion that how both are cheating and making the people foolish.

Mr. Vaidya, I depend on Dinamalar for unbiased news - they are the only newspaper in India that are not a propaganda rag for any party. Even The Hindu has become obscenely pro-DMK after the advent of N.Ram. And the less said about the English channels who work like Sonia's PR department, the better.

DMK always did soul searching outside; no wonder they found ideal company in Congress. 2G was corruption to others; for DMK and Sonia’s so-called Congress, it was legal money-leak to drum and store. We have a conscience to answer; Sun TV is to DMK what NDTV is to Congress. Time, we stop watching their acts of blasphemy on the fourth estate. Some may say the same thing about the opposition parties. To me, since they are not in power, I shall judge only those who are now ruling the state and the country and exercise my democractic rights.

Your witty but truthful comments are enjoyable. As regards bias, both electronic and print media have some axe to grind. This applies to Dinamalar also. When paid news is the norm of the day, we have to pick the grain from the chaff. S.Krishnamoorthy
