Learn a lesson with smile

A new vacuum cleaner salesman knocked on the door on the First house of the street.

A tall lady answered the door.

Before she could speak, the enthusiastic salesman barged into the living room and opened a big black plastic bag and poured all the cow droppings onto the carpet.

"Madam, if I could not clean this up within 5 minutes
with the use of this new

powerful Vacuum cleaner, I will EAT all this dung!" exclaimed the eager salesman.

"Do you need chilly sauce or ketchup with that" .asked the lady.

The bewildered salesman asked, "Why, madam?"

"There's no electricity in the house..." said the lady

Appaa

This was a fantastic matter contributed by Mr. Radhakrishnan. However we may write and speak in English, when you read this in Tamil there is "life"  உயிர் (ஜீவன்) in this. After reading this I strongly feel like advocating tamil in music. To be frank, I never enjoyed any song as much as "Enna dhavam seidhanai"என்ன தவம் செய்தனை. What a Thamizh semmozhi maanaadu could not do to me was done by these tamil lines

Cannot read tamil but thought I would contribute this info. The last verse of the first hymn of the rig veda extolls the importance of the duties of the father. 'Sa Na Pitheva Sunavegne Soopayano Bhava. Sa Chashwa na Swastaye' translates to 'O Agni Be accessible to me/us as a father to a son, for our/my well being'

My diary - 27th June 2010

1. Thanks a lot for umpteen mails and phone calls with anxiety about my safety and even with offers to send the money. I want my friends to understand one thing. If I landed myself in such a situation (not only me, but many of us who are really in such trouble,) I will certainly contact my son first, who is a Software engineer in Sanfransisco, USA, who can take care of me under any circumstances. For any reason if I had no access to him due to unforeseen circumstances, there are many close relatives who can bail me out in such situation. I think not only me, even all of you will not resort to sending mails soliciting money to e mail friends whom you have not even met, whenever you are stranded. Hence, let this be a lesson to all of us. Here is an interesting mail received from a friend of mine.

"Dear Sir,
These are the occupational hazards and regular perils of a cyber life that we lead. No problems. The use of terms like British Pounds, Dollars, Scotland, etc. were immediately indicating the dubious nature of the mail.
Of course, if the hacker had mentioned that you were stranded between say Tirunelveli and Ramanathapuram and asked for emergency money to be sent to an account with State Bank of India, I'm sure some of us would have been fooled"
Warm regards,
Deepak

I am posting this not to give a new idea to the hackers, but to warn everybody, even if  such situations happen, to be on the alert.

2. My e mail id remains the same. hariharan.vaidayanathan@gmail.com. I have changed my password. My g mail is restored and I have started getting mails, thanks to my son who blocked the hacker's access to my mail. Many readers expressed the desire to contact me. I am available on 044 - 24621187, 044 - 42658038, mobles: 91 - 98840 24487, 98840 24437, 95000 64487.

3. There were some complaints that some of the songs I uploaded in the blog are in in m4a format. Yes. I had all my collections under my iTunes library for the convenience of hearing them and organised them alphabet wise, Raagaa wise, composer wise etc. To convert such a huge volume of collections again to mp3 will be a tough task for me at this age. Yet, in future I will try to post them in mp3.
Alternatively, if the song in which you are interested, is not in mp3, you may use "altomp3" a free software available for download to convert such songs. It will be a tremendous task to convert the existing files in the blog to mp3. I do not know whether, I will have time and energy to do it. Yet I will try my level best. Readers are requested to bear with me. If there are experts in my readers, who can suggest me the easiest way to solve this problem, I will be very much obliged.

Appeal to my friends and relatives

Dear friends,

My gmail id was compromised, and somebody has sent a fake mail to all my contacts stating as though I am stranded in Scotland. Many friends and relatives contacted me over the phone and got confirmed that it was a bogus mail.

Friends who get similar mail, particularly those in foreign countries are requested to ignore this mail. My heartfelt thanks to all those who contacted me with anxiety and appreciate their love and affection towards me.

With greetings
Hariharan

Dear Shri hariharan, As told by others, I also got the same mail. I think some fraud has hacked our yahoo & google group and sent mails to everyone in those groups. From the construction of the mail, I was almost sure that the mail was misleading. Thanks to God that I didn't respond to it. Thank God that you are also safe. Regards, Vinod N N

Dear Mr.Hariharan, When I recd the 1st mail, initially I was wondering whether a person of ur calibre could be really in such position. Further the sender has apparently has accessed ur mail to me abt 5 days back. There is a statement that u forgot to inform ur trip to Scotland. It is interesting to note that ur Tel No. which is noramlly seen below ur signature was missing in the mail. So getting ur from ur earlier mail, I contacted ur residence. I was told that u are busy on another line. Then to see how the sender responds I sent a mail . To this I recd a 2nd mail the contents of which was similar to what was recd by Mr.Bharathan. Now if I want contact u regarding contributing to ur blog, what is ur ID. Regards Ananthanarayanan
