The supreme Brahman, Lord Sri Krishna and The Flute are synonymous...
It is said that the very essence of Omkaram flows out of his flute when he plays the flute. So whenever I see the flute I see the supreme lord in it. Playing flute is my puja, my prayer. We the students of Sri Krishnaa are all so blessed that we are able to play this divine instrument. I found a nice story...that might inspire all of us...Once, when a number of people were asked by Sai Baba what they would like to be in the hands of God, he got various answers: some said the Lotus, some the Shankha (Conch), some the Chakra (Discus) but no one mentioned the Murali (Flute). He advised them to become the Flute, for then the Lord will come to us, pick us up, put us to His lips and breathe through us and, out of the hollowness of our heart due to the utter absence of egoism that we have developed, He will create captivating music for all Creation to enjoy.. Inhale only the breath of God. Isn’t this feeling wonderful?

The Legacy
Carnatic flute was used to accompany the vocal concert & in late 90s it became s solo instrument
Many artistes like Sharabharsahthri …were the pioneers to give it a new status. Palladam Sanjeeva Rao & Sharabha Shastry were the foremost pioneers who brought the flute to the center stage as a solo instrument. Before their period...it has been described in Natya Darpana that flute was used to accompany dance performances & also vocal concerts.
The greatness of the carnatci flute is that even hindhusthani ragas can be played on carnatic flute but the vise versa cannot happen.
Ragas like thodi , bhairavi , varali , anadabhairavi cannot be played on a six holed hindhusthani flute.

Krishna’s leacacy got continued & was passed on to great flute players

With great difficulty and protracted follow up, I could extract this reply from mediafire team, which is self explanatory.

I am being flooded with mails and comments on "unable to download" issue. Please be patient, until "mediafire" set right its server problem. Hope we will have relief as early as possible.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Mediafire. Our technical department has been hard at work isolating the exact cause for this error 22 continuing to occur with the Mediafire files. They have assured me at this point that once a file has been restored to working service, it will not go down again due to this particular error.

While this is normally an error that rarely occurs and our technical department is able to repair the error within a matter of a couple of hours of it being reported, this particular instance has been more difficult to isolate and repair. They should have this particular issue fully restored within a week as it is taking this amount of time for our back up servers to catch up with the updates considering the number of files we store. Once this has been completed we should no longer see these errors on our servers and have been able to implement a quick fix to repair any isolated incidences.

We value your membership and look forward to working with you in the future. Thank you for your patience in this matter. If there is anything we can assist you with please let us know.

Dear friends,

As I have already explained to you, the problems I am facing with mediafire, i.e. not only certain files are removed, but certain fresh files I upload are also not opening. In spite of myself uploading again and again with fresh URL s you are not in a position to download.

Hence, I have uploaded the song "Kelathi mama" in Balamuralikrishna - Sadasiva brahmendra now under rapidshare. Similarly I have up loaded the song "Sree raama paadhama" in Concert No. 116 - D. K. Pattammaal also under rapidshare.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused to you all, and I will try to do my best to keep you all happy. However, we can't help to the fact that we are under the mercy of these sites.

Since relocating the missing files from my hard discs and re uploading the files consumes lot of time and place me also into stress and strain, please bear with me for the delays in attending to your comments. I will certainly strain my every nerve and leave no stone unturned to solve the problems you are facing and continue to serve you better.

I thank all those members, who are prepared to help me in this crisis and I will be ever grateful for their efforts.

hvaidya said...: I have internet back up through Carbonite. Unluckily, I paid and got registered only recently and many of my music files are in external hard discs which are not backed up there. It backs up only the files in my laptop which is having no space to add further. I am planning to improve my Laptop disc space further in a week and then I will get all my files backed up at Carbonite. If my 500 GB hard disc which crashed is restored, perhaps I will be able to post all the lost files again
