Thank you very much for posting this! Very interesting sometimes ard to follow when everyone gets a bit over heated one wishes for a transcript at times when all are talking in unison. But very interseting to see such a lively debate on music! Bestgreetings from a deported Rasika in Sweden who wishes he was in Madras for the Seaon every Year!
I think some structural weakness exist in Indian Agriculture. Lack of initiative from us to put importance of vegetable and horticultural commodities in agriculture, has made farmers to shift towards food grains or Sugar cane which is guaranteed by Minimum Support Price (MSP) or Statutory Minimum Price (SMP). Thank you

Set aside time for structured "play time." Real innovation does not happen by accident. The capacity to creatively improvise is an important factor in differentiating businesses that are successful in the face of change
from those that are not.
Both sivasubramania Iyer and Srinivasa Iyer are singing together. It is not an exclusive concert of Srinivasa Iyer. However the concert is one of the best of Alathur Brothers. Ramasamy

Thanks Mr. Ramaswamy.
I have uploaded this as Alathur Srinivasa Iyer long back to mediafire, but posted just now to the blog. So I did not remember it. Sorry for the error.
I have corrected it.
In Anandha Kumar's folder links for songs 1 and 2 are same. Kindly provide the correct link for song 2. Ramasamy

Dear Sir Sri Vaithinathan Hariharan This is ravi once again. A beautiful collection of Mangala Isai. Ninnu Vina Nama Endhu is a song made specifically for Nadaswaram, my notion. Again Vasudevayani is also a song made for Nadaswaram. Your esteemed self might have released them over the years. I just wanted to express my opinion. Nothing more tahn that.Lovely collection Sir. King Lear said "Nothing comes out of Nothing". If permitted I am to state "Great thing(s) comes out of Great man, your esteemed self". wITH WARM REGARDS RAVI
I thought this is the ideal one to start a New Year
me with my son
Beautiful letter written by a father to his son! This applies to daughters too. Use this in your teachings to your children. Following is a letter to his son from a renowned HongKong TV broadcaster cum Child Psychologist. The words are actually applicable to all of us, young or old, children or parents.!
I am writing this to you because of 3 reasons
1.Life, fortune and mishaps are unpredictable, nobody knows how long he lives. Some words are better said early.
2.I am your father, and if I don't tell you these, no one else will.
3.What is written is my own personal bitter experiences that perhaps could save you a lot of unnecessary heartaches.
Remember the following as you go through life
1.Do not bear grudge towards those who are not good to you. No one has the responsibility of treating you well, except your mother and I. To those who are good to you, you have to treasure it and be thankful, and ALSO you have to be cautious, because, everyone has a motive for every move. When a person is good to you, it does not mean he really likes you. You have to be careful, don't hastily regard him as a real friend.
2. No one is indispensable, nothing in the world that you must possess. Once you understand this idea, it would be easier for you to go through life when people around you don't want you anymore, or when you lose what/who you love most.
3.Life is short. When you waste your life today, tomorrow you would find that life is leaving you. The earlier you treasure your life, the better you enjoy life.
4. Love is but a transient feeling, and this feeling would fade with time and with one's mood. If your so called loved one leaves you, be patient, time will wash away your aches and sadness. Don't over exaggerate the beauty and sweetness of love, and don't over exaggerate the sadness of falling out of love.
5.A lot of successful people did not receive a good education, that does not mean that you can be successful by not studying hard! Whatever knowledge you gain is your weapon in life. One can go from rags to riches, but one has to start from some rags!
6.I do not expect you to financially support me when I am old, either would I financially support your whole life. My responsibility as a supporter ends when you are grown up. After that, you decide whether you want to travel in a public transport or in your limousine, whether rich or poor.
7. You honour your words, but don't expect others to be so. You can be good to people, but don't expect people to be good to you. If you don't understand this, you would end up with unnecessary troubles.
8.I have bought lotteries for umpteen years, but I never strike any prize. That shows if you want to be rich, you have to work hard! There is no free lunch!
9.No matter how much time I have with you, let's treasure the time we have together. We do not know if we would meet again in our next life.
Your Ever loving Dad.
We wish you a Great Happy 2011
Thank you so much for entertaining with your wonderful BLog in 2010. We look forward to many more in 2011

Wow! a great discounse by visaka harijiIt actually gives us the way towards bhakthi deeply. We heard the discourses repeatedly and attained the feel of God in the discourse.
When I look back at the end of this year I have no regrets. குறையொன்றும் இல்லை. I have only positive thoughts and positive notes. This year, my blog, gave me lot of friends, which I consider, as the greatest asset I have gained this year. What more I need !
Man was made to live happily on Earth. But he is not? Why? Because he wants something or other - all the time! And he is unhappybecause he compares himself with what others possess andwhat he does not have, (or is unable to have) – such things as others' physical appearance (tall, handsome, etc; rich, has an expensive car, large mansion, etc. "I am short, dark, cannot afford to buy a car, live in a small house, etc).
It is COMPARING and thinkng of what OTHERS HAVE and what I DO NOT HAVE - and WANTING those things - that rouse envy, jealousy, frustration, dissatisfaction, hatred, anger, and so on - cause UNHAPPINESS!
A simple fact is forgotten viz: There are no two things in the whole of Creation that are exactly alike - in every way! (It is even said that no two leaves on the same tree are "alike"; "no two snow flakes are alike"!)
Therefore, no two human beings are exactly alike! Not even twin children! THERE IS NO ONE EXACTLY LIKE YOU IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE! YOU ARE UNIQUE!
Let us say that a man goes to the attic of his house. It is cluttered with all sorts of articles. He finds an old steel trunk. It is his grandfather's box. He opens it and finds all sorts of items which his grandfather had accumulated - photos, papers, items of clothing, etc. Among the pile of letters, he comes across a postage stamp. Kaalana! (say one paise/penny, a least valued coin those days)) 1890 ! .
What do you think will be the result if he sticks that (unused) stamp on his letter and mails it? It will end up in the "Dead Letter Office"!
Why? Because that stamp can no longer be used!
Ah! But what will happen if he places an advertisement in the papers to advertise that he has an 1890 kaalana/penny stamp? He will be swamped with telephone calls, telegrams and a queue of philatelists (stamp collector fanatics) at his front door, each trying to out-bid the others, with sums running into tens of thousands of Rupees, Dollars or Pounds Sterling for that (one inch square) piece of paper!
WHY? Because there is no other stamp like that in existence now! It is UNIQUE (So rare that there might not be another like it in existence!).
So are you ! UNIQUE! If that scrap of paper is worth tens of thousand of Rupees, Dollars/Pounds, what price are you putting on yourself? Why are you “selling yourself short”?. You are priceless! You can stand erect, tall and look the world in the eye and say to yourself: “There is no one like me in the whole of Creation!NOBODY! Nature made me unique! Why should I feel inferior to anybody in this world? Hooray!
I shall stop envying others who possess things that I don’t have, because they do not have many of the things that I am blessed with.
A Tip To Boost Your Spirits: Make a list of all the things that you do have – which many others do not have:
1. Born without any deformity; 2. with intelligence; 3. with loving parents and siblings; 4. a happy, cosy home; 5. good health; 6. education; 7. a good job; a loving wife & children; a happy home; “I can save some money every month; I have no debts”; etc! the list can go on and on!
I can bet you that, by the time you get to about number seven or so on your list, you are going to have tears of gratitude to God who has blessed you with so much above the hordes of unfortunate people in this world! You will fall on your knees and thank God for giving you so much to be happy about! And never again to think poorly of yourself!
Remember! You are unique! There is no one else like you in this whole Universe! Blessed are you!
Let me end this year with Visakha Hari's "Kuchelopakyanam" which is a story symbolic to good friendship and prosperity when there is faith.
Universal Truth! Fantastic work! "A farmer dies every half an hour in India. Not out of disease or accident, but, suicide. The reason is debt." Above 17,000 farmers in 2009 year alone have committed suicide. I thank God for not making my life such tragic and I also pray him to give me strength to save vulnerable farmers from such tragedies. Happy New Year 2011
Dear Sir, A wonderful way to end the year that has gone by and welcome the next year. Thanks a lot for sharing such wonderful matters which we can pass on to posterity. Wish you, your family and all the readers a VERY HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR. Regards

I really appreciate your gesture to declare that during the Year 2010, you were able to acquire more friends through your portal. Friends are more than brothers and I strongly believe in this and proved so in my life. I like your portal and appreciate the initiative you have taken to create and maintain it
Dear Sir Vaithinathan Hariharan
What a way to say good bye to the year 2010. I understand that the Sir has acquired many friends in 2010. I am happy to say that I am also permitted to be his friend. The friendship between Krihshna and Kuchela is beyond description. To quote Nammalwar “the two were not attracted by Manam Seiyum Gnanangal’’ Our lives are full of Manam Sei Gnanam only.
On the music front the Sir has once again displayed his excellence. I have read that on the passing away of Mukesh, Raj Kapoor lamented “I have lost my voice”. Lata and Mukesh from SHOR, ROTI KAPTA MAKKAN, AAWARA and others—Wow what a collection. I pray almighty that the year 2011 will also be as successful, promising and enterprising as 2010 for Sir. I declare emphatically that Sir will be scaling new heights in 2011.
With warm regards
ravi
