...that you are part of a Larger Whole, and you are
never, ever alone.

It is tempting, during difficult times, to feel very much
alone, as if you are taking this journey in solo form,
with no one at your side, and no one on your side.
Nothing could be further from the truth.

You are an aspect of The Divine. God lives in you,
through you. "I am with you always, even unto the end
of time" are not just pretty words. They are truth.

Annamaya - Srinivasaanubhuthi

This applies to all couples in the world

10 Things You Should Never Say to Your Wife

It’s a pity no one states the things not to say to your wife ever.
But if we had to had to bribe the pundit to read out the top 10 commandments of what a husband must never mention to his wife instead of wedding vows, this is what it would look like.
1. “Maybe you should go on a diet.”
Yes, looking after your house and keeping it habitable has affected how she looks but if you can’t compliment her, don’t ever let her hear this one. Especially when you’re sitting with your perfect tyre in place.

2. “Why don’t you work as long as me?”

Yes, we get it. You’re irritated and need to spark off an argument but talking about what a great sacrifice you make by working is not going to help anyone. Especially if she’s quit her own job to look after the house and kids.
3. “Anand from Accounts is ….”
No, your wife doesn’t want to know about office gossip. When you’re home, she wants you to listen to her not your work problems. At least not every day!

4. “That one looks hot!”

If you have ever said this to your wife while checking out another woman and lived to survive the tale, you know what a landmine this sentence is loaded with.

5. “I don’t feel like talking.”

This can be excused if used sparingly. However, if you want to prevent communication problems in your relationship then you better learn to have an open channel all the time.

6. “All you do is nag.”

Desist from ever saying this. Your wife’s already short fuse will be completely blown if you such this incendiary sentence.

7. “Why do you want to go shopping again?”

Yes, she knows you hate it. But you need to entertain her too and if she likes to go shopping, then tough luck. Deal with it, don’t complain about it.

8. “You’re not really wearing that, are you?”

Unless you’re Narendra Kumar Ahmed or Sabyasachi Mukherjee, questioning her sartorial choices so bluntly is going to cause a major fight. Try and suggest your picks in a more delicate manner.

9. “Must be that time of the month.”

If you think you can use this line as a weapon for a clever retort, you’ve got another thing coming. This can be one of the most insulting, not to mention sexist, things you can ever say to your wife.

10. “You’re acting like your mother.”

The biggest no-no. No woman likes to be compared to another woman, especially her mother. Bear in mind you’re also passing a judgement on her mother with this one. Unless you want to spend an entire year apologising, refrain from ever using this line during your entire marriage.
A marriage is a union between two different people and it can be perfect only if both the people accept each other as they are.

Laugh ! It is good for health

An Indian tourist walks into a curio shop in San Francisco. Looking around at the exotic, he notices a very lifelike, Life-sized bronze statue of a rat.  It has no price tag, But is so striking he decides he must have it.
He takes it to the owner: "How much for the bronze rat?"  "Twelve dollars for the rat, one hundred dollars for the Story," says the owner.
The tourist gives the man twelve dollars. "I'll just take the rat,you can keep the story."
As he walks down the street carrying his bronze rat, he notices that a few real rats crawl out of the alleys and sewers and begin following him down the street.  This is disconcerting; he begins walking faster. But within a couple of blocks, the herd of rats behind him grows to hundreds, and they begin squealing.  He begins to trot toward the Bay, looking around to see that the rats now numbered in the MILLIONS, and are still squealing and coming towards him faster and faster.
Concerned, even scared, he runs to the edge of the Bay and throws the bronze rat as far out into the Bay as he can.  Amazingly, the millions of rats all jump into the Bay after it, and are all drowned.
The man walks back to the curio shop.
"Ah ha," says the owner, "You have come back for the Story?"
*NOW SCROLL DOWN FURTHER.

"No," says the man, "I came back to see if you have a statue of an Indian politician in bronze!!

....that it is the neglect of timely repair that makes
rebuilding necessary.

Richard Whately said that, and he was right. Take a
look today at what you need to repair. Who has been
hurt by you...or ignored?

Don't get into a lot of guilt around this -- just repair it.

Smile ! It is good

Real story happened with famous Heart Surgeon Lt. Dr. Nitu Mandke. He had done many heart operations.

A mechanic was removing the cylinder heads from the motor of a car when he spotted the famous heart surgeon in his shop, who was standing off to the side, waiting for the service manager to come to take a look at his car.

The mechanic shouted across the garage, “Hello Doctor! Please come over here for a minute.”

The famous surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic.

The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked argumentatively, “So doctor, look at this. I also open hearts, take valves out, grind ‘em, put in new parts, and when I finish this will work as a new one. So how come you get the big money, when you and me is doing basically the same work?”

The doctor leaned over and whispered to the mechanic…..

Agony of a common man in India !

It is a pity that in such a big democracy, we have no ALTERNATIVE to a most deficient/inefficient party i.e Congress. God alone has to save this country, if Congress comes back to power again or perhaps even He may throw his hands up.

It is a pity that even though the two most outstanding Chief Ministers viz. Mr. Narendra Modi  and Mr. Nitish Kumar, who are in the same group i.e. NDA could not come together in the interest of the country, leave aside " that I am the boss' attitude of leaders in BJP.

It is a pity that such an efficient thinking person like Mr. Cho Ramaswamy compares the judge who has taken crores of rupees to grant bail to Reddy brothers,  at par with Anna Hazare team.

It is also a pity that he is nowhere inferior to Vairamuthu or Vaali  being "chamcha or Jaalra" to Ms. Jayalalitha as they were to Mr.Karunanidhi, by justifying the crores of Rupees spent on advertisements on completion of one year.

It is a pity that neitther Mr. Karunanidhi who started Teso for Tamil Eelam has not raised his voice for the pathetic conditions of refugees in the camps at Tamilnadu, who have taken the biggest risk to run away to Australia, nor the so called Mr. Vaiko, Mr. Nedumaran, Mr. Seemaan etc.who claim they are giving their life to Lankan Tamils.
