This is the basic principle enunciated in Naradha Bakti Sutra. In it, it is said there can be no evil, no bad qualities as the Creator is a Puritan. The mind is nothing but a long heritage of your entire animal past.Moment to moment disassociate yourself from continuing any thought that consciously rises in the mind. This non-association with the rising thought disturbances is achieved by training ourselves to remain as a "witness" to the flood of happenings in ourselves.
